Honda Diagnostic Cloud (HDC) Quick Start Guide

The Honda Diagnostic Cloud (HDC), developed with the Honda Antares Capsule (HAC) in mind, revamps vehicle diagnostics by leveraging smart capabilities and seamless connectivity between the cloud and the VCI. With the latest software update, simply connecting the HAC to the vehicle initiates a DTC Autoscan while simultaneously establishing a Wi-Fi connection. This connection enables the rapid transmission of VIN and DTC information into the Integrated Service Portal (ISP). HDC keeps detailed records of all DTC scan and clear sessions for 14 days, linked to the VIN, providing a comprehensive diagnostic history to improve traceability. Also, the HAC Device Manager app facilitates wireless connection to HDS using the capsule, providing the cable-free experience technicians have been wanting, delivering greater flexibility and convenience. By utilizing the HAC with HDC, users can enhance their diagnostic capabilities, streamline their service processes, and provide a higher level of service to their customers.

Prerequisite: Before utilizing HDC with your HAC, ensure the HAC is set up using a wireless connection.

Note: For Wireless setup instructions, please refer to the HAC Quick Start Guide, iN > Service > Service Information > Search > HAC or at https://honda.antarescapsule.com

Accessing HDC via ISP

  1. Select one of the entry points to access SP (Figures 1-3).
  2. Within ISP, click the HDC button (Figure 4).

Self Text Fail
  1. If you are getting same Fail error on the status of the Internet Connection, follow Troubleshooting Step 3.
Note: This USB connection and Internet Connection status come from the PC route. This means it’s checking the PC’s connection to the internet if it’s good and HAC is on the same network as PC is, HAC should be able to connect with network. So, please make sure HAC and PC both are on the same network.

Step 3: No Wi-Fi connection:

  1. Confirm a valid Wi-Fi network is in range of the HAC.
  2. Select ‘Wi-Fi’ from the PC network to confirm available Wi-Fi signals are in range.
  3. Make sure the signal strength is good because if there is a poor signal that might be an issue.
Select Wi-Fi
